Friedman pre-NAMM show

Post by yngwie308 » Thu Feb 07, 2013 4:29 pm

I believe NY Chief was in attendance at this great show with Steve Stevens and friends introducing Steve's new Signature SS 100 amp built by the Velvet One himself and the ever amazing Phil X played as well.
Steve had Pete Thorn with him, Pete playing the BE-100, or Brown Eye Friedman using the recently introduced prototype STFU attenuator the only one currently in existence. This is heavily influenced by the late Faustine, in fact I believe Dave Friedman may have purchased the rights to the circuit. George said he was modding power soaks to have two steps available long ago.
Wish I could have attended, but until the daily nightmare that my life has become resolves one way or another I am stuck in neutral!
Steve was debuting his new amp which I think is amazing and I heard his Marsha which the SS 100 is based on with some additional tweaks for Steve and the amp has the most amazing clean channel as well and the well proven Metro EFX loop circuit.
Interesting guitar SS is playing sort of a Goldtop Oxblood in so many words.
I am happy for all parties involved that Friedman amps are really taking off and that George is a part of that success.
Having George build anything is worth an extra $1K to me anyday. The amp is priced at around the $3.6K mark which considering all it has is reasonable and it will be very popular I am sure.

I believe Steve is using a Koko boost for some leads and has the amazing Fulltone Tube Tape Echo in circuit quite a lot.
I know NY Chief has one of these..  :)
Great show and playing by all!
