Rik Emmett's Petite Etude transcription

Post by jof006 » Sun Jan 05, 2014 7:50 am

Looking for a bit of help here because I'm useless at transcribing things.

I seem to recall that Rik Emmett's (Triumph) Petite Etude was transcribed in one of the American guitar magazines in the '90s (maybe earlier).
Since he wrote for "Guitar Player", I'm assuming it was that one.

Does anyone here still have that edition and a scanner?
Don't know how long copyrights last on things like that, but I'd be interested in seeing it if anyone can point me in the right direction
Or if you can tell me which issue it's in, I can try and find it on ebay or something.
I've looked at the online tabs but it'd still be nice to see the definitive version that was published in the magazine since this was probably done by Rik himself.
Thanks.

Yep, he's gray headed like many of us here. Someone likened him to Bill Gates, but I think he looks more like Hank Marvin.

Thanks guys.
If anyone does find that magazine though, I'd still be interested.

Let me reiterate this link for Jimi James, as you may not have seen his link under the attached video clip.

Between the videos AND tab offered up in this thread, there should be no need for your additional Guitar Player transcription of same.
