authentic zeppelin

Jimmy Page Tone Tuitorial (MUST WATCH): http://youtu.be/cM80agLwDpU Has this ever been discussed anywhere around here? Is this even the right place to post this? This guy is a bit of an arrogant tool and he talks too much (and says too much!) But ya gotta admit this sounds great! Tonewise anyway, he's not as good as he seems to think he is!
What does anyone else think?

wow, that guy is, uh, pretty..uh...... confident....

He's not even close to a guy who used to post a lot here. Forgot his name, Eric? But he had Page DOWN. Even built a Page Hiwatt.

Anybody remember who that was?

And if he wants to hear a Page Paul through a plexi he can come down to my hosue...nahhh :o

Holy shit! I actually watched that entire clip...

That guy's a fucking psycho. The tones are moderately "Ok" I suppose, but nothing that anyone on this board or in any music store for that matter would have any trouble dialing in with some simple gear.

I have studied Zeppelin even more than Van Halen, so I'm not exactly a total rube when it comes to Zeppelin...

I think I can say with a 100% degree of metaphysical certitude that this guy is a douche who can't dial in tones for shit and God knows even he sort've admits that he can't play for shit! I mean for Christ's sake this guy can't even play a simple rudimentary box position lick or even cowboy chords at the nut properly!

What a twat!

By the way NY Chief is absolutely right about that guy with Royal Amps if that is the person he is talking about...un-fucking believable tones. Even the drummer he had playing on his demos sounded incredibly good. His Royal Albert Hall Hiwatt tones were nothing short of amazing and his MSG '73 tones were spot on! Plus the guy could play. Which should be a given but it almost never is when it comes to internet clips. Just see my old thread called "The Importance of Learning How To Play" to see my feelings on that subject.

Yep, that is indeed the guy I was talking about...

That mini Jimmy Hiwatt looks cool as hell! It would be great to play some of the Royal Albert Hall and 1970 tour material through that!

The site shows Chicago Music Exchange and that seems to be the only reputable dealer that I know of on the list. They list some guy in Austin, TX (which is relatively near me) by the name of Randy Bachman, but to my knowledge THE Randy Bachman must live in Canada I would think...

Anyway, I haven't called any of these places to see if they actually carry these reissue Hiwatts. It sure would be fun to play through a couple of models and see if they sound as good as they look!

Yeah, I saw that, too. I thought they would start showing up but it's been a while since the intro and still almost nothing. I saw one store in Denmark I think advertising as in stock.

I thought it sounded actually pretty good. But this is partly why I posted it here because I knew that some people here would have an opinion and could give some examples. I guess just to prove that the guy isn't so great as he claims he is! (Cynical jerk that I am!) :) I did remember the myopic void post ( though not the name just the post) and wondered if there were any sound clips.

Oh yes there are several clips...sooo much better than this jerk off. I'll try to find them and post links here shortly.

What a futile display of useless (and debatable) competence.
I am talking about the guy in the video. So sure of something that is barely there.

Been there before, but never with this attitude.

Nothing to see nothing to hear.
