power lover. Classic rods harmonies and early rock n roll influence. Killer tone and solo, ride cymbals. This track had it all. Love the first position 2nd fret A bend and vibrato during the solo. Try bending that note ! This whole first album was made in basically a weekend at my buddies college studio. Live recorded in the studio. Quite a difference from the manipulated lackluster rock n roll recordings being made today. Dave had a Killer superbass, but not sure if that is the amp where hearing here or if it's a fender of some sort>
Listen to those geezerish bass runs as the song fades out. This is 2 and a half minutes of brilliance by a killer trio....ALL NIIIiiiiiiighT

upstate ny 84 good times was what it was about.chuck berry meets thin lizzy with a plexi/p90

and this is how you kids can play ride cymbal. old carl had it down

upstate was the edge of the dying age of America when it was making things. the then to be rust belt. in any case we enjoyed a good hot rod and so the beat was rock steady and fierce that the womens could still dance to

it's hard to hear the double kick drum because it was recorded over a weekend. carl was a literal rock machine.
