Sad to hear this news. In addition to the wide range of credits he accrued as one of rock's greatest bassists, I loved that track he sang on in Holdsworth's Road Games LP

Damn, he was a legend. Ginger just recently played here in the D, Ferndale at the Magic Bag. He looks like Dead man walking. Surprised to hear of Jack's passing. Amazing artist. Wailing vocals and killer bass. RIP

very sad, end of an era, one of the pioneers

They're all gettin' on...EC, Pagey, Beck, Townsend, Keef...all in their 70's. Betcha Keef outlives them all!

Yes RIP Jack, I have 3 of his solo LP's starting with Song For A Tailor.
Jack was blues, R&B, Jazz and classical, all these genres.
He was very loud as many guitarists can attest to! Jack made the bass a lead instrument as did Entwhistle.
Disraeli gears and Wheels of Fire are true classics.
Thanks Jack

My old hippie bass player buddy was playing me some his vinyl collection yesterday, an LP from the seventies by Jack Bruce, Leslie West and Corky Lang. Sounded pretty GOOD...
