Had on ACCEPTS first one. That song "No time to lose" has a great Hoffman solo in it, all harmonized and elegantly worked out  . Udo also actually used his 'natural' voice on that one.....No gruff screaming or falsetto's.

I'll have to check the albums notes, but yeah, It doesnt sound like Udo, so that makes sense. That dude(Udo) had long hair back then  . Just like 'ol Rob (Halford)& Freddie Mercury, Udo went to the super short hair. I figured out his status when I paid attention to the lyrics in 'London Leather Boys"

Scorps 'Animal Magnetism'. Love the chunk and grind Rudolph gets in 'The Zoo' . Thats just as GOOD as a Marshall can get imo. Not alot of gain, BUT, all that DYNAMIC right there under the fingers.......just totally responds to the amount of FORCE you apply to the strings. It may sound funny to say, but compared to the new "gain, gain and MORE gain" type tones, the classic Marshall 'Crunch tone' is more akin to an acoustic guitar.

I agree, the old marshall tones have 'acoustic' qualities. Which means tone. Rudy gets great tone on all the late 70's to mid 80's. Then on savage amusment I think they sent to soldano? engl?. That album sounds great though on album though. I've got the german press and can recommend it!

some of the tones on blackout, say can't live with out you, are amazing marshall/rudy tones. On vinyl of course. The tones are still cool on CD but don't do his tone justice like a good vinyl press does
