Steps 5 & 6 - Initial connections and heater wiring

The heater wires on the PT are the 3 large solder post type tabs. The 2 outer tabs are 3.15VAC and the center which is kind of 2 tabs togther, is the center tap (CT). Like the 100W instructions solder a twisted wire pair from the 3.15 tabs to pins 2 and 7 of V7. Solder a wire from the CT tab to the nearest chassis ground lug. Most likely youll have to add another one on the other bolt of the V7 tube socket.

Im waiting on a PT braket to do this step so I cant take pictures for now.

Step 5b through 5e can be skipped over.

Add the 1-ohm resistors to the sockets the same as step 5f and the same for the black wire in 5g. It may be better to put that black wire on the V6 tube socket since the output jacks are in a different spot on the JTM45/100 chassis'.

Step 6 is the same. I recently started using heat shrink on the twists between the tube sockets so they stay nice and tight and are easy to work with. It may not be potentially as neat looking or authentic but it makes the whole process faster and easier.

I started doing my heater wiring tonight... I prefer to get everything twisted and fitted before I spark up the soldering iron... below are some pre-soldering pics... I'll heat up the iron later tonight

Hmmm. twist then spark up???? Sure you're talking about heater wires here Mike?
