OK. Step 1 is strait forward enough. Check over your build list and parts.

Step 2 is somewhat different. The power transformers are laydown/drop-through/z-mount style. If you have an accurate PT like the Metro 1204-43 there should be 3 large solder posts on one side and 4 primary tabs (common-120-220-240) on the other. The primary tabs in 45/100s pointed towards the rear panel.

For the 1204-43, 45/100 PT you need to take the bolts that are already on the PT holding the top bell on, off, then use them to mount it to the chassis.

For the outut transformer mount it with the end bells facing the sides of the chassis, parallel to the tubes.

I put the side of the OT with the secondary leads (the side with 4 leads vs 3) facing away from the PT. The secondary leads are yellow, orange, green and blue I believe.

The choke I mount so that the side with the wires are facing the grommet they go through.

Im short on trany bolts so I wasnt able to complete this step

Step 3 in the 69 100W kit is irrelevant to this build so I skipped over it. Somewhere between later steps Ill install the filter cap board or power board.

Keep in mind that you will need to drill a hole for the HT fuse that goes behind the PT... I would suggest doing this right after you install the PT before you get too far along... pics to follow...

my chassis has three holes(w/gromets) under the OT. what's the third hole for?

also, does metro sell a braket frame?

Yes to question 2.

I think the 2 holes on the one side are to split the secondaries between. Trying to squeeze them all through one hole is possible but annoying.
