jtm 45 / 100 schematic

Post by Wayne » Tue Jun 09, 2009 3:55 am

Hey all. Had a go at drawing a jtm45 / 100 schematic. May be of help to other builders.

Anyhow could someone have a look and let me know of any errors. Will be building this amp soon.

Wayne

Hey Wayne

Looking good. One thing I prefer is individual control grid resistors.
Another preference is for an adjustable trim pot in the bias section.
The cathode for V1 needs to go through to ground, not to the V1b grid.

The NFB tap can alternatively be put on the speaker jack (no impedance
switch shown in the drawing here), and also, no PT voltage selector switch
seen here. These last two are not major, but these two items have given
some 45/100 builders a bit of grief. I've got a few emails from people on
the rear panel switches. But--none of them read schematics, and instead
rely on layouts, so whether or not this is helpful may only be academic.

Thanks Will. Got the cathode ground mixed up as well as the input grounding. Not sure what value the bias resistor should be so put 47k in there & a 25k pot.

Re submitted with corrections.

By the way - sourced all those parts we talked about and ordered everything except the transformers. I'll order them next month when i get payed (hopefully !!)

Thanks for your input on this build.
Much appreciated.

Wayne.
