Just wondering what transformers everybody is liking for there jtm45/100 builds.
i,m going as authentic as i can .mustards ext. but need to know the transformers and the number on the transformers if i order from marsteen 1202-119 whats the tone difference compared to the 1203-80

i think that if you want to be authentic, you'd need the 1204-43 for the power transformer, and the 1202_84 for the output transformer. + a C1999 4 hy ( Drake 354-114 clone ).

I ordered my 1202-84, 1204-43, and a 3H choke from Marstran. The build sounds awesome, and is my number one amp since March when I fired it up. I'll have to reform the caps on my other amps since they get no playing time anymore. :lol:

You can also order Metropoulos spec transformers from Heyboer (details at the MetroAmp store). I'm sure you can't go wrong there either. :thumbsup:

Since I was on a budget, I got some used Heyboer prottypes from someone local for the OT and PT. Bought a Classic Tone 3H choke. Very happy with the results.... :rock:
