That looks like a Bassman head behind him. He's also doing some of the tricks we'll see later in his career. Yuo can't say Jimi didn't pay his dues before becoming Jimi (unlike other "gods" around here...)

Ha, very Cool! Even then he was the "showman" doing the "over the top" string swipes.
