look at this '69 Hendrix SL... theres a mod there?

Hi guys,
Im no tech but have a look at this amp, its a '69 SL owned by Hendrix, I found the pic over Amp Archives (great site!), theres a mod there? it seem to me theres a large resistor next to the tranny and some strange things, or am I wrong??
sorry but Im a huge Hendrix fan and Id like to understand if his amps were modded or not

My only guess is that it is the "death cap" for the polarization switch(3rd bat switch in front). No ground back then.

the black bat is the bridge rectifier

There does appear to be a mod. The board shows split cathode but there is no yellow wire going from the second cathode instead there is a jumper from the first cathode like a bass. Too bad the pictures aren't clear.
