Its the history of the crybaby/vox wah and @5:10 eddie kramer says voodoo child was recorded in 1 take on a dual showman.
I heard discussions that voodoo child sounds like a bassman or a marshall, its a dual showman after all.
Hendrix often used dual showmans so he must have dug them a lot!
The whole documentary is great!

well, eddie kramer often said things that couldn't be true, and sometimes he didn't know what he was talking about. yeah, i heard about this dual showman, and he said that the cab were loaded with some 10" speakers or something, about 10 if i remember ...

oh yeah, 8x10". eddie is in fact talking about voodoo child, the first version, yeah, no the slight return with the wah intro that we know, recorded later. i love both
