I heard some time ago that Al Hendrix (Jimi's dad) had formed a friendship with Randy Hansen, and that Al thought of all the Hendrix impersonators that Randy (was/is) the best at it. As a personal endorsement from Jimi Hendrix's father it doesn't get much better than that. I like the song that Randy Hansen wrote as a tribute to SRV:

Also check out the soundtrack to the movie "Apocalypse Now" in the scene where the boat encounters a bridge outpost that's under fire from the VC, and the PA speakers are blaring out Hendrix on guitar. Or is it someone else? Perhaps it's Randy Hansen!!!!!
