Nope, never seen that pic. In fact, the concert footage (movie) shows him playing a few stacks of Marshalls.

That pic is from the Electric Gypsy book.

For the shows the bass cabs were set up horizontally and that stack of Fender heads was smaller.
I believe there might have been a Sunn head with the Fenders.....

No Marshalls those nights for the bass.

The monitor is probably just vocals. Remember the house sound came from those stacks. Standing right in front of the house sound I am surprised they didn't have to wear diapers on stage.

In the late 60s I saw the Who at the Grandi Ballroom fourth row on the floor. No monitors pathetic PA but two stacks a piece. We had no trouble hearing the instruments Daltrey was another story. We couldn't hear each other on the ride home. Hey we actually stayed seated too sure was a lot different time.

Yeah, I just noticed that there are no mics on the amps.

If I'm not mistaken, there's also an extra guitar cab (or maybe it was a bass cab) off to Jimi's right.

Fuckin awesome! We HAVE to set up a show like this, sometime, somewhere. C'mon, I know we could pull it off. And people who seen these shows would trip. Those of us who have only seen vidoes would trip too.

And Ross, that's unreal. We need to change your status to: hung out with Buddy Miles"!

That would be too cool. MajorWatt has 3 Marshall JH stacks he has set up in his house...

The amps arent miked cause that pic is from the afternoon rehearsals. As I said before, those bass cabs were rearranged for the shows.

I linked three Marshall stacks together at Jim Marshalls Hanwell shop, I tried this in 1969 and it was the most awesome experience.
Earth shattering, and not like these 18watt amps mic'd up through PA's these days live!
