Jimi Hendrix at Woodstock: His Guitar and Setup

For me, Jimi's Woodstock performance was one of the defining moments of the 1960s, especially his spontaneous rendition of "The Star Spangled Banner." In honor of the 40th anniversary of Woodstock, I've written two articles I'd like to share with Metro-Amp readers.

Nice article about the strat but Jimi gave it to Mitch Mitchel before he died as a gift for the birth of Mitch's son. That is when Mitch got it not after Jimi died

Also there was never a JTM 1959. He uses JTM 45/100´s early in his career.

The amps Jimi uses at Woodstock were ´69 JMP model 1959 Super Leads.

Uli Jon Roth has the black strat far as I know.

That could well be. I believe that photo of Jimi was taken by Monika, who lived with Uli long after Jimi died. Monika passed away several years ago.
