His guitar slung across his back, his dusty boots is his cadillac.

I like the Chicago Iron version of the Tychobrahe.I like the housing of the Octavio (except for the ridiculous "o" at the end of "Octavio") and I like the sound of the Tychobrahe clone. Roger Mayer dismisses both of these. Stevie Ray used a Mayer rocket shaped Octavia back in the day, but I am a little ambiguous on the sound of Roger's modern (post 60s) effects. He changes lots of things around to "improve" them, but I don't know about all that...

I really like the Octavia sound in the old Prescription Electronics Experience pedals from the 90s...that has been the best Octavia sound I have ever heard. Just my experience...

the guy has three different octavias together ... but it really sounds like my one single roger mayer octavia.

i like this one :

Anyway, IMHO, an octavia sound depends quite a lot of the amp you're using. but the best octavia i ever heard was from a custom shop in paris, called NOS, pedals they make by themselves in the shop. can't beat this one.

I don't care too much for the octave sound, but I like that guy's playing! He is good!
