Re: Jimi Hendrix 1967 Blackflag
he told me about pete townshend with all his records made with a fender 28 watts and a big gretshe, while everybody thinks about marshalls and an sg.
Yes pete has said in interviews that who's next was a 3-10 bandmaster and a grestch ...
I will add that I hear an echoplex even when there is no echo ... ie used as a boost
also Pete townsend & Jim Marshall have talked about liking the Tweed Treoloux, in addition to the Bassman
Protoype 50 watt speakers...
I have no doubt, everyone else was that far along in speaker development Celestion, would have been working on such things
even if they were not offered to the public right away
a 100 watt marshall should push 180 watts clipping
p

Re: Jimi Hendrix 1967 Blackflag
I'd prefer if we wouldn't mention his name, to avoid potential hassle to him.
No i don't remember how he got it. Maybe in a shop.

Re: Jimi Hendrix 1967 Blackflag
Does anybody know what songs were recorded with Black Flag Marshall's? How about concerts. I have seen lots of photos of Jimi playing live with them.

Re: Jimi Hendrix 1967 Blackflag
It looks like Hendrix used the JTM 100 (black flag) along with a JTM 45/100 from mid May 1967 to at least the last quarter of 1968. I can only assume any studio recordings during this period stand a good chance of having the JTM 100 on them.
