Did Jimi sand the back of his guitar neck?

His guitar slung across his back, his dusty boots is his cadillac.

I use myself a special very thin kind of metal fiber. It doesn't sand the finnish really ... But it makes it softer, very nice feeling, taking away the sticky glossy varnish a lot, from the fingers, and the hand just moves on the neck just like on women's legs
More satin like after that, but not sanded.
I advise it. Anyway, after a while ( weeks or months of use ) the glossy re appears.
