board attachment quota has been reached
hello ! just for the mods, i Wonder why we can't post pictures anymore .
i just tried to post a 800 x 563 pixels pictures ( that's even too low in definition sometimes ) , and it notified me that the board attachment quota had been reached, i couldn't post it, that's really too bad ...
is it possible please to make it available again, and even increase the resolution to 3000 x 2000 ? this would be great !
thanks

Re: board attachment quota has been reached
This has been unavailable ever since the forum got put back up, and is quite deliberate, in a move to avoid further virus attacks, or attacks on the security of the site/forum.
Photos or attachments have to be hosted on sites such as Imgur or Photobucket, and the links pasted to the post. The images will still appear in the post if done correctly, and the forum and plexireplicas site remain safe from malicious attacks.

Exactly right Demonufo, and sorry for the inconvenience of this. I was informed that uploads had to be turned off to make the board secure. We also lost many old uploads when the database was corrupted in the malicious attack that took us down for 4 months.
It frustrates me too, I'm trying to post an image from my dropbox account. It's supposed to work, and yet....

Re: board attachment quota has been reached
no problem. thanks.
i created an imgur account, i post my pictures there and post links.
someday i'll learn how to make the pictures to appear directly on the board.
i think i tried , with the "img" icon" but it told me that the dimensions were too big. 800 x 600 max ...
at least, could it be modified ? because it's a bit of hassle to decrease the picture quality each time ...
and i suppose it's not needed anymore, since it doesn't weight anything anymore.

The standard photobucket size ones will not fit either

Re: board attachment quota has been reached
because it's inferior to 800 pix wide.
but 800 x 600 is really too low.
allowing 5000 x 5000 should be great, so most things would work.

Re: board attachment quota has been reached
Yes indeed.
But if the forum can display some higher resolution sources , in a forum friendly dimensions this would be great, so you don't need to resize the source pictures each time to make it fit the forum max dimension.

Re: board attachment quota has been reached
I did change the max pixel dimensions in the control panel, but it still doesn't seem to allow larger pics. Someone smarter than me will have to look into it.

Re: board attachment quota has been reached
very cool !!
what was the original picture size when you put it on dropbox ?
i tried a 8030 x 3030 picture but it didn't work. i think you could even increase the limits to 10 000
i'm testing another ( about 3000 pixels wide )

Re: board attachment quota has been reached
loool , very big.
maybe a miniature size, like the serial number's page you posted on dropbox ) , about this size displayed on the forum, and maybe with the option to click on it to see or download it at the full resolution ? maybe such tool doesn't exist.
for now it displays the whole size lol, not bad anyway.

Re: board attachment quota has been reached
I've been posting pics on here for a long time through Photobucket and I always size them down to 722 pixels wide before I upload to Photobucket. A pain? Yes indeed, but fits the page size pefectly.
