Post by jr.deluxe » Mon Jan 12, 2004 9:57 pm

I hear from some people that caps have to be formed ,others say its unnecessary.I think my 71 50 watt needs a cap job. should i just power up after the install or no?

Hi and welcome to the board.

If you are replacing your caps with new stock, I wouldn't worry about forming them. Forming is usually done to new caps that have been on the shelf for several years.
