Once again, guys!

When you're requesting for sending my effects loop schem via PM, then you must forward me your email! I can't send a *.pdf or a *.bmp file packed in a PM back to you - and I'm tired meanwhile to request again and again for your email addresses.

So in future the equation is quite simple: No email - no schem

This message especially is directed to the new members.

Nonetheless, Merry Chrismas to all of you!

So after looking over the diagrams for this loop and reading through the forum I have decided to install this in my JTM45 MV amp. And looking at the diagram Besides the connection to the center lug on the treble pot and the B+ rail there are 8 grounds. Now is it ok to put all 8 grounds to 1 lug? or should they be split up. And where does the B+ rail get connected 2?

Keeping in mind I have both diagrams but I am using the one that Mark sent me.

Yes, all grounds to the same spot, as seen on my schem, where the ground rail for the loop is drawn separated, also the tone stack should be grounded to this spot!

The previous ground spot is the Volumes & V2 cathodes, the next ground spot is the Presence/PI cathode.

The B+ (above the 4.7K) has to be connected to the PI's voltage supply.

KIT

Post by MRX2099 » Fri Jan 11, 2008 10:26 am

Hey George any thoughts of putting a kit together of this nice Loop and selling all the parts ( box, board to fit, resistors, wiring, etc,) for a nice price, plus a diagram on hot to install AFTER the LARRY MASTER VOL MOD and those that does not have that mod also.

Thanks
Jeff

Don't forget Larry's consultant fees for sharing this loop.

Can a 1/4" mini switch be used for the true bypass?

And is it okay to add the loop tube to the left of V1? I plan on getting a custom chassis made, so I figured if I go with the Larry loop, then I would get 4 preamp tube holes cut.

So, it would look like: Loop tube-V1-V2-V3.

I'm hoping that won't cause any noise issues. ??? Or should the order of the preamp tubes be changed?

Thanks 8)

Depends on where your loop board is located in the amp.

That's NOT a FX loop, its a simple preamp-out/poweramp-in with a signal level, way too high for effect devices.

Even though it is a preamp out/power amp in, it is probably fine to use with line level rack effects. I have used similar loops when I didn't have room for an active loop. It isn't a good loop for guitar level pedal effects.

PM sent. I need a good loop for my JCM800 8)

BTW, I put in a PPIV master volume in my JCM800 2204. Will this loop sound good with it?
