That's pretty cool, my friend. Thanks for sharing the layout and schematic.
That's one seriously loud looking head shell you've got there. Especially with the blue piping.

Good stuff ... I'd like to try that eventually ... I've done simple mods to my amp but I'm still overwhelmed by some stuff so I hope you don't mind a couple of dumb questions:
- What is the principle behind this mod, in layman's terms (i.e. what are you cascading into what and how?). I'm trying to follow the schematic and a very brief description would help lots.
- What is different on this arrangement that would enable you to use an A/B box to switch inputs/channels? That idea really appeals to me. From the schematic it seems like the output of the "modern input" gain stage goes directly into the "vintage input", similar to the version of the "one wire mod" found here: http://forum.metroamp.com/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=23887" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; but I've been told before that you can't A/B when doing that (??).
Many thanks!!!

Correct, you can't A/B this! Either Vintage, or Modern input - like it's on all 2203/2204 MV Marshall'sShakkal wrote:... but I've been told before that you can't A/B when doing that (??).
Larry
The fault almost always is sitting in front of the amp

Post a clip. The last one was very low, and I really want to hear you work.
