My '68 SB is blowing its HT fuse. I'm freaked out! I'm trying not to imagine the worst. What does this mean? How do I troubleshoot, and where do you recommend I get spare fuses?
HT 1.5 Amp
Mains 3 Amp

Take all the tubes out.
Put in new fuses (SLO BLO) and retry (local Marshall shop or valvestorm?). If your fuse is ok then it is probably an output tube issue.
Do this first. If it fries take some good clear photographs of the inside and you can be talked through it.

UPDATE: I blew 2 HT fuses. When I tested continuity on my Mains fuse it looked perfect but was bad. I realized the problem stemmed from a used variac I just purchased that was internally wired incorrectly. Should have Checked it out thoroughly before I plugged in my Vintage gear. Live and learn. After an installment of fresh fuses...all is well. I learned a valuable lessen. Thanks for offering to help out. cheers.
