red dye solder joints

Post by tWreCK » Thu Jan 19, 2017 4:35 pm

What does George (or everybody else) use to replicate the red dye on solder joints on Marshall restoration projects and new builds? I'm restoring an old Park amp and want to keep it as close to it's original state as possible.

Marshall used a layout fluid used by machinists, like the Dykem brand, but it's kind of hard to find.
George posted a few years ago he likes to use a red Sharpie pen, so that's what I've been using and it looks great!
