For the life of me, I can't seem to find these anywhere on the web. Vishay/Beyschlag MBE0414, 1 watt MF resistors. Anybody?

I'm in the USA. The resister you linked to doesn't appear to be a Vishay/Beyschlag MBE0414. The data sheet says it is an "MSW MFR 1145" series? Are you sure it's the same as the Beyschlag Larry recommends?

Hi,
as far as I know, Conrad used to sell the MBEs, but now they sell Resistors from different changing suppliers. I got my (now Vishay) Beyschlag MBEs from distrelec de . They also should have different international representations (see distrelec com)
Cheers
Michael

Thanks. Distrelec has all the values I'm looking for. But they don't sell to the U.S.

Hi,
as far as they told me, they do deliver to the US. You have to do that via their "International Shop" on distrelec com. Shipping is quite expensive tho. But not as expensive as getting iron and copper from the US to germany

I added all the parts to my cart and tried to checkout and pay, but they don't have a USA option. I sent them an email to "register" as a private customer to see what happens. But I haven't heard back yet.
I do have a friend in Switzerland, though. Maybe as a last resort he can order them and forward them to me.

Heard back from Distrelec. They say they don't ship outside the EU unless you have a business account.

I'll order some asap, to see if they're any different to the ones Conrad sell. Then I might be able to buy them for you and ship them over

That would be awesome, thanks. Yeah, the the ones Conrad sells have a different part number listed.
Conrad: MFR1145
Distrelec: MBE0414

Well, I called Vishay. No luck. I called Mouser, Digi-Key, Arrow, AVNET, and like 10 other places. Some places had one or two values available. But mostly, you have to order like 1,000 at a time to get these things.
I finally found a distributor in Japan of all places. They require bulk orders, but only 100, not 1,000. So I gave it a shot. I've got 100 of each value for the amp I'm building coming. Hopefully it doesn't take too long. But looks like I'm the only source for these resistors in the USA now hahaha!
I've also discovered there are a few versions of these things. Not sure how they're different. The specs look similar.
MBE0414 Precision:
https://www.vishay.com/docs/28767/mbsmapre.pdf
MBE0414 Professional:
https://www.vishay.com/docs/28766/mbxsma.pdf
MBE0414 Supplemental:
http://www.vishay.com/docs/28768/mb_vg06.pdf
The precision are 0.65 watts, with 15/25ppm temperature coefficients, and 0.1% tolerance
The other two come in 1-watt versions, but the temp. coefficient is 50ppm, and 1% tolerance
I went with the "Professional" version. Not sure what the "supplemental" version is all about. The "precision" version seems unnecessary for a guitar amp.

Well well well... Look what arrived today. They seem like some pretty high-quality parts. Got about 100 of each value.

Congrats...
So you're looking around for a source on July 6, and today, July 7, you have received the product? Man... now that's fast.
Please allow me to ask: Who's the vendor?

I've been looking for a few weeks
I ordered these from Arrow Electronics. They had TWO of the values I need available in increments of 1. But all the others they have, you need to buy 1,000 at a time. So that wasn't an option. But I ordered the two values I need just to see what all the fuss was about. They ship out of Reno. I'm in SF. So it was pretty fast.
The other place I found, I can buy in increments of 100. They are in Japan. And you gotta speak Japanese.
I've been trying to get a business account set up with Distrelec in Europe. But it's been slow. The time difference means it takes a day-and-a-half to get a response via email. And they need all sorts of back and forth.
