MOD 5 Filter cap help

Hey ,
So I was looking at the schematic of my MOD 5 head and I noticed there are so many filter caps across the board .
Can somebody explain why there are so many caps? What is the purpose of this extra 10k + 32/50uF cap between V2 and PI ?
I also have a Friedman BE 100 and 68' spex Plexi which lack the 10k Drop resistor and 32 uF , 50uF cap in the middle .
