Larry Grounding Heater CT wire route

Hi.
I'm doing a JTM45 build employing Larry's grounding scheme and grounding the Heater CT at the input. I've seen people route the Heater CT wire straight across the middle of the chassis and under the board to ground point 1, while others have run it down to the front of the chassis and along under the control pots. Simple question - Is there any reason you would choose one route over the other, apart from the under board option being slightly shorter? Any advantages, disadvantages or does it just not really matter?
