Metal Handles to replace Marshall 4x12 Plastic Handles

Post by Scumback Speakers » Mon Oct 25, 2010 6:04 pm

I'm happy to announce that I finally got my web guy to put up the metal handle page.

These handles directly fit/replace the Marshall plastic handles on 4x12's that always break in the corners. The screw holes on the flanges are exactly the same as plastic handles they replace. They have the same look & feel as the old Marshall metal handles from the 60's, but sized to fit the 71 to present Marshall 4x12 cabs (and clones). They are a significant upgrade to the Marshall Handwired handles that spin and they have a baked on finish, not the paint that easily scrapes off.

$60 per pair, plus $11 shipping (domestic USA lower 48 states only). $5 for installation kit, which includes 12 10/32 x 3/4" machine screws and matching T-nuts. If your handles are attached by wood screws you can just reuse those unless you want to upgrade your cab to the reliability of the machine screws & T-nuts. These are the same handles used on my 69 spec cabs. I have over 500 of these in stock, ready to ship. If you need more than one pair I'll work with you on a better price.

A client sent in a pic of his two Marshall 1960B cabs with the replica metal handles replacing the plastic ones. Here's what he had to say.

Would you ship those to Canada? Maybe I'm just reading that wrong Jim, or do you just mean the shipping prices for U.S only.

Sure I'd ship to Canada, it will just cost more via USPS Priority Mail.

Priority Mail® International Medium Flat Rate Box
USPS Supplied Medium Box:
13 5/8" x 11 7/8" x 3 3/8"
Maximum weight 20 pounds.

I'm not certain but I would guess four handles (two pairs) could fit in this Flat Rate Box.

$26.95 USD for shipping to Canada.
$65 with hardware for a pair of handles
4.2% paypal currency conversion fees on both of those costs.

So one pair would be $95.81 USD shipped to Canada, or $163.54 USD for two pairs if they fit in that PM box.
