Metroamp Transformers available again!

Post by VelvetGeorge » Mon Jan 03, 2011 11:39 am

I have worked out an arrangement with Heyboer to offer my Metroamp transformers directly to you. These will be the same parts I've sold with our kits, in the Metroamp store and I have used in my own builds.

Please see the attached spreadsheet for parts and prices. Only these parts are currently available.

Some parts should be on the shelf ready to ship, while others will definitely have a lead time, typically 2-3 weeks. If this new deal works well, we should be able to keep most parts pre-made.

To order:

please contact Phil or Alden by phone at: 616-842-5830
or email: phil@heyboertransformers.net

You must say you want the Metroamp part, and use the exact part #. The pricing is listed on the spreadsheet and does not include shipping.
I know Heyboer accepts Paypal and checks, not sure about credit cards, I'll look into it.

Hey George,

Thanks very much for setting this up. Do you know if Heyboer will offer the 1203-80-ML mounting bracket? If so, is there a specific size or part number to request?

Wishing you all the best,

Matt

Heyboer doesn't have either of those brackets, I made them myself and have some stock here in the shop. I don't think it's enough to send to Heyboer though. Let me get their thoughts on this, maybe they will want to look into a run of these.

Note that they also don't have the imported end bells for the C1998V. I'm low on those myself. Will discuss options for those too. It won't be cheap though, it cost me an arm and a leg to ship two boxes full from the UK last year.

I'd be interested in a few of those brackers myself.

Let us know if we can pitch in for shipping to at least get those end bells state side. Also, any word on the 352-114 also from Heyboer?

Yes, it is.

352-114's will be a bit guys. We are down to just a handful of those brackets.

I just got my Metro trannies from Heyboer, but now I'll have to wait to get those endbells. I will absolutely pitch in to cover shipping to get my hands on a pair for the OT.

And a George-spec'd choke... I'd put myself on that list as well. Let us know if we can pre-pay to help front any costs George.

That is a great new thing from them. And they are now shipping it so it is a good thing to know but I just have to check the shipping option first, it might not applicable in my place. Anyway, if there is FedEx in option then it is just fine.

My PT is toast. :champ: :champ: 1203-80-MS. :peace:

My B+ was round 500v. Would a 100v lower B+ give me a lower breakup threshold?

This amp was great the way it was. Beautiful clean kinda Fenderish.

Les Paul/Strat + MetroPlexi = Heaven. Unholy power. A GOD among mortal amps. El Toro. :evh:

So what to do? Put the exact same PT in? IDK.

George, One of your 10000 series was damaged in shipping. Leaning 2" OT. Heyboer doesn't recognize the bracket. Maybe it's one of yours. It must be an older amp because it has a wide vent.
I sent you an email with pics. I'm trying to help this guy out so he doesn't have to eat a big repair/return.
