Buying a house is EXPENSIVE! More stuff for sale.

Post by VelvetGeorge » Wed Jul 23, 2014 1:06 pm

Business is very slow right now, so why not buy a house??? Right? LOL

What a process this has been. We have agreed on a price and terms. Now I get the home inspection on Friday. I have a few weeks to get our down payment together, and I have some taxes due. So, more items up for grabs.

Scumback M75-PVC quad of speakers. 16 ohm 20W Used in the speaker shootout last year. $440 for the set.

ASW KTS-60. New in the box, set of 4. The G12H 30W 55Hz clones. Terrific speakers. I bought them hoping to do an H type speaker shootout, but that will be next Spring at the earliest. $800 for the set.

Pinstripe True Replica straight cab. Brand new. It's loaded, but I need to pull the back and see with what. Eric Collins pinstripe cloth. Retail is $1,399 unloaded. Make me an offer. Buy some of these speakers I have listed and I'll make a sweet package deal.

'70 Marshall 50W lead amp 1987. Smallbox, early metal panel. I don't want to let this go, but for the right offer it will find a new home. Mostly plexi parts and sounds right. Negotiate with me and you might get the Mullard EL34's I have in there too.
I'll take some pics soon.

Silverface Super Reverb. Great amp, that I never plug into. It's '68 I think. Sounds perfect. $1200. Hope to not ship this.

I'm sure more things will join this list. Check with me for anything you're interested in. Thanks!

I hate to let go of this guitar, but it lives in the case most of the time. It sounds great, but it's heavy! Almost 11 pounds. And it has the sustain you would expect from being thick and heavy.

Joe Zaukus is a luthier in Nashville. Previously worked for PRS, now out on his own.

Beefy neck, cool hardware, Voodoo '59 pickups, 50's wiring. I have the pick guard, but thought it looks cooler without. Comes with a hard case. Asking $2,000.

I'd love that cab... been hunting daily for one to come up used but never seems to happen!

Only killer would be shipping to Australia :( probably putting it out of my price range.

Just for future reference what would a cab cost to ship to Australia 7250? (going to assume probably the price of the cab itself)

I suspect you are right. The last overseas cab shipment I quoted was $650. The lowest I recall quoting was around $475.

Fedex has a phone number you call the day that you ship and they give you the best rate based on how full their jets are that day. Sometimes it's less, but not always.

I got a shipping quote to Perth, just as an example, from FEDEX. $1,222 USD. Completely prohibitive. They did say call the phone number for daily rates. But the size of the package is what drives the shipping cost so high.

Sorry I couldn't accommodate.

Staying, for now. Probably a 3-5 year plan to relocate now.

Was curious because I remember you mentioning a few years ago about heading south. Austin or Nashville?
Aside from the Winters here, cool you're still in Michigan. Sorry to go off topic.

I want to move to Nashville, very bad. But with shared custody of the kids it's not going to happen. I'm on at least a 3-5 year plan here in Michigan.
