Ok, so I am attaching my 6v indicator lamp for my 12xxx amp.

I was following the 100 watt general instructions that came with my 12xxx kit today and I ran into a slight problem. I was going to install my "6v" indicated lamp, as printed on the lamp's lens. However, it seems that the directions want me to attach the "black and red leads"; mine are white, to the power switch and the bottom terminal on the mains fuse holder. The problem is won't I blow my lamp since the voltage is not stepped down yet since the directions are referring to a 120v lamp, and where do I attach my white leads? I found a picture where a 12xxx amp had the "blue" lamp leads running to the V7 tube socket. If anyone could help me, it would be appreciated. Thanks, Dan

With the 6V lamp you will have to run the lamp leads over to a power tube socket, and attach one lead to pin 2 and one to pin 7, so that it runs off of the filament voltage.

Thank you. I was thinking it had to do with the tube socket.
