120V indicator lamp hookup with 240VAC supply question

Post by ivan H » Tue May 21, 2013 6:39 pm

Hi, I'm hoping someone can advise me, I have a 120V indicator lamp & the supply here is 240VAC. Should I connect the indicator with one lead to the supply common & the other to the 120V tap on the PT primary, or should I hook one lead to the cold side of the power switch (240VAC, Active) & the other lead to the 120V tap on the PT primary, or does it not really matter which way its hooked. Thanks in advance for any help. Cheers

One lead to the PT common and one lead to the 120V PT primary tap.
