Amp booboo

Post by Turd Ferguson » Sun Dec 22, 2013 12:04 pm

This is my first amp build. I have built a CeriaTone 50 W Yeti. My question for whomever out there is as follows: I put the amp on a variac to slowly bring up wattage by 10 volts per hour to check to see if all multi-meter readings were accurate. I got the variac up to 80 volts and was checking heater pin 7 on first power tube closest to power transformer. While doing so, I accidentally crossed pin 7 with pin 6 on the power tube. It arched. On the layout of the amp, pin 6 goes to one of the big can capacitors where choke is hooked. My amp is now blowing the main fuse. I have disconnected all secondaries from power transformer, but left primaries hooked up. I powered the amp up and did not blow the fuse. What should I do to determine where the short is? I am attaching the layout to the amplifier.

Please help.
