is the YJM100 the same as a 1959SLP with some extra features? Or is it based on a different amp?
I watched some videos and found they sound different,

It is indeed based around a 1959SLP - they've just added some bells and whistles to bring it up to date, seems to make it much more gig-friendly right out of the box.

thought about buying one instead of the SLP because it has an built in attentuator ( i think thats what its called? )
but i m not sure if it sounds the same as a 1959slp

I have only heard clips but they sound pretty good to me (more flexible than an AFD too?).
Not sure I totally agree with the structure (ie wiring/layout) being like an SLP, much more like a DSL, scroll down here for gut shots (not seen a schem yet):http://www.marshallforum.com/workbench/ ... 100-2.html
