My `100w.plexi ri is starting to sound funny when I play up on the high strings...I changed the tubes and for 20 minutes it sounded ok,I hope I didn't hurt these RFT Sieman tubes Would the grids might be going.I had 2 replaced 6 yrs ago..Thought I would ask before I spend money at Dave Friedmans Tone Merchants... :palm:

Depending on how often you play your amp, tubes are only good for so long before the start to die out. with most modern productions tube players won't run more then 6-12 months with heavy play times. If your saying your tubes are more then 6 years old it probably would be a bad idea to look into changing your tubes.

Are you describing ghosting?

How old are your filter caps?

Not entirely sure why you would associate such funny noises with screen grid resistors...

But if you're worried about them, just replace them.
