The head cases from Mojo work well (just tell em you want the "flat bottom lip")
Can you please elaborate on this? I am about to order one from them.
Others may know more about the history of this... I just know that the cabs Metro used to ship for their 100w amps had the flat bottom lip. To get one like this from Mojo they told me the following:
Just place a note in the notes field that you " want the cabinet without the lip - Metrostyle " and we'll take care of it for you.
From what I gather, later Marshall amps had the rounded bottom lip?

Ahh, thanks.

I am getting a 50 watter. I assume the stock Mojotone one is ok?

Anyone else? I have bought one before and it was very high quality.

The stock Mojo has round front lip - correct for 1970 clones onwards.

George is such a big fat liar.

Now, just to be clear, I've been dealing with George for some time. So, when I bought my GPM45 it arrived with a "Buy Three Get One Free" punchcard with one of the three spots punched.

'Nuff said.

Of course, if you go back to the top of the thread you'll discover I really, REALLY liked the GPM45. So much so that I went for a 10,000 Super Bass to expand my plexi palate.

Punch number two on the card.

The 12,000 Super Lead I picked up last year was punch number three. Or at least it should've been. When George asked me to send him the card (I was ordering my "free" 45/100) things went sideways. All of a sudden I get this "Must've gotten lost in the mail" business from George. The thing is, I had taped a GPS beacon to the envelope. I could see right there on Google Earth the envelope was at his shop.

Then it was outside the shop, near what appears to be a dumpster.

Then it was moving down the street.

Then it was at the garbage dump.

All the while George kept doing his best Sgt. Schultz "I know nusssing!" routine and telling me if I wanted a 45/100 I was just going to have to up and pay for it.

Damn that guy.

So, instead of getting a free Metropoulos 45/100 I just bought a JMJ-30.

For any of you who believed all that "Buy Three Get One Free" business above, I'm just joshing.

But I did, after 27 months (not joking!) on the wait list, finally get my JMJ-30. Gotta say I'm feeling like it's been worth the looooooooooong wait, and such a great complimentary amp to this world/basement of plexis.

And, sorry George: It's entirely possible another Metropoulos won't be in the cards for this guy. (C'mon Powerball!!!! I need a 2203!!!!!!!!)
