67' Superbass Question

I'm lusting after the sound Lance Keltner gets in the clip of the 67' Superbass, but unfortunately can't afford one at the moment (at least not without the wife threatening to torch the whole amp/guitar collection! )

I currently have a JTM 45 build. Would it be possible to mod the 45 to sound like the Superbass in that clip? It was my impression that the circuit is pretty closely related. What would be involved? Different tranny? Solid state rectifier? If it can be done, any help with the specific specs would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

I think you need the bigger power amp, so no

I'm in agreement with Roe, you're not going to get all teh way there with your current amp.

I'd think you can get a bit closer though, changing your mixer resistors from 270K to 470K.
