Tighten up the low end

I'm looking for ideas on how to tighten up the bottom on my 100W MV. I've added a resonance control with a .0047 cap. I like the amount of bottom I have now I just want to make it snappier when muting chords.

* what valves (tubes) are you using?
* how are they biased?
* what transformers?
* guitar/pickups?
* cab?
its the little things that will be making the difference here - that amp should be TIGHT in the bass.

Should be - did you use a stock kit with stock filtering? Did you do any mods from stock yourself?

It's all stock with the exception of the resonance mod. I'm using a Gibson LP, Aldrich PU's, Splawn 4X12 with V30's and H30's straight into the amp.

Mo' feedback, mo' feedback. Reduce the NFB resistor by 50% and/or move it to the next higher OT secondary impedance tap.

Sounds like the "Downshift" mod

LMAO...shades of deja vu. I wonder where our 'little buddy' is these days.
