No resonance?

Post by Natec » Wed Feb 13, 2019 9:04 pm

I added the normal 1meg with a .0047 bypass cap on my metro100 kit but I don't get any more low end? my presence works but I cant seem to get more woof? I gained up the preamp quite a bit with an added tube stage and with that had to cut bass in the coupler caps as to keep it from getting mushy. I wanted to add back some lows with a depth/resonance control but I don't hear any change? Ideas?

Is it possible that the low frequency is out of phase?

Play with the cap value...maybe try a .0033uf. What speakers are you using?

If it's not working, you probably wired something wrong.

That said, the resonance control can't "add" back lows that aren't there to begin with. The EQ and the NFB circuit are subtractive only. They can't boost frequencies. They can only subtract less.
