This is the last time I bring this up. If people go back and read this entire thread, you are talking as if you are Stephane, which you are not. I have a string of emails between info@stephanedufour.com and I saying he has NEVER been on this website and was going to talk to you JFL about this kinda stuff. I had an hour conversation on MSN with you and you never cleared up that you where NOT Stephane Dufour...

Only after I bought pickups from you and confronted you about it did you "fess-up".

But make me out to be a prick, I am just clearing up the fact that many people think they are talking to Stephane Dufour, the guitar player and complimenting him about his PLAYING, not his amp and you never once said "Thanks guys, I will pass the kind words on to him...."

I am not trying to hurt anyone, just clear some stuff up.

Well, I'm very sorry, but I have to concur with Chubs (who'm I do NOT know by the way). You appear to have been very misleading here, by failing to correct those who are responding as if you yourself are Stephane. It seemed to me like Chubs was simply trying to stop others from making idiots of themselves. I for one would be quite embarassed to respond to somebody as if they were someone else, and I would be even more embarassed if nobody had corrected me.
In the above post you still haven't actually stated who you are either (not that you have to, of course, I guess everyone is entitled to a little anonymity) which doesn't really help much.

I guess the title of the thread was actually pointing out your identity (although I'm sure most will have missed that, since your signature first of all mentions two sites directly naming Stephane), but you certainly haven't been quick in correcting people. It would appear obvious in some of the previous posts, that many people obviously did know however.

Either way, I do hope you don't take any of this as hostility, and continue to be a valued contributor to the board, but I certainly understand peoples frustration here.

My name is Jean-Francois Laplante the owner of JFL amps (that is pretty much seft explanatory right??) and the owner of the nickname "5150loveddie", thu JFL amps aka 5150loveedie on the thread's title, (me myseft and I) and I build, take care, technical advisor, friend, acquaintance, almost the manager but ain't because I don't have clue how to, try to help out promote his talent/cd/my amps while at it...etc etc, etc..., of M. Stéphane Dufour the artist and great guitar player...

Sorry to all if I let things go the other way around I beleived you knew, and most here already knew our stories but for those who didn't sorry again.

And to CHUBS you shoud've talk to me directly before taking all this actions with PMs and post, and explain how you saw things around here and by the same time put me on the spot making me look like a monkey who tried to pretend I was someone else..I just let things flow here and didn't react teh proper way, but I do understand your points they are ligit and I'm sorry to you also ok?!

Jean, in the past everyone has always called you Stephane including myself you never once corrected any of us here. You corresponded as if your were Stephan no doubt about that in almost every thread unless Stephane was posting under your ID.

I can see why people are a little snippy. I think I remember you signing some posts with the name Stephane at the bottom, so please don't get all mad at us here at this point.

I thought that this was Stephane as well. I exchanged 2-3 PMs with this person and the whole time, I really thought it was Steph.

He even stated in french (translated to english here) "Its my tech from JFL amps that lives close to him who is getting a guitar done by him." Sorry dude, no language barrier there - you're busted.
