New Wolfgang set-neck

Post by dirtycooter » Sat Mar 02, 2013 11:11 am

Just gotta first hand look at the new set-neck EVH wolf.
I gotta say it, it deserves a good play between it and any Les Paul.

Playability just kicks royal ass! And the construction is absolute top. Honeyburst with what appeared to be a 1 piece mahogany slab for it all to fit on. About the same weight as my paul. But it truly is a great guitar even though the tag on it is outrageous for my taste.
I will say this if any one is looking for a LP you gotta check this badboy out.
The frets were like..... someone greased them down. Just smooth as hell bends and it rings solid and tight.

For those that hate small frets dunno what to tell you but to my ears this thing has awesome note intonation. That precise fret contact area of the thinner fret just hits everytime dead center.

What was the pricetag? I havent seen one up here yet.

It looks like a subtle carvetop, with a neck thru body? He says its a setneck.

I'll never learn to like that headstock design.

$2200. Not real bad for a set-neck high performance les paul kinda guitar. Like I said-compare this to a paul. I would take this anyday over a any paul. The neck is not as thin as the bolt ons though-its more substantial in the girth but still fast and feels great.
I also hate the little divit in the head stock. I like the shape of the pv ones better that still has the ernie style silhoutte basically.

$2200? The ones I have seen are $3400 and up, unless you get one of these...
