Hey guys! It's been a hot minute! My absence is due to how I've been insanely busy with my band (renamed to Terminal Fury)! We toured with Yngwie Malmsteen for a bit at the end of the summer, and I've been finalizing stuff on digitally distributing our first full length album! Now that I finally had a moment, I started tone chasing again with my Bray 4550 Deluxe, and came up with this tone that walks the line between the warm "Somebody Get Me a Doctor" sound and the hairy crunchy sound on "I'm the One"! I mic'ed up my 90's greenback with a 53H1777 cone and one of my trusty '78 blackbacks, both tucked away in my 1960b. Here's the tone in a cover of "Somebody Get Me a Doctor" (which seems to be my go to cover for VH tone lately lol)
If you guys have any questions on amp settings, guitar, etc, feel free to ask! I missed this forum and I'm glad to see it running strong
I had to upload it to Google Drive because soundcloud kept thinking it was the full studio version
