Some techs started to install line outs on marshalls in this era. The idea was to reamp the best sounding amp and to use other amps to get sufficient stage volume. The latter amps were used as power amps, altough the amount of preamp stages varied from one to three.

I landed one of those silver Marshall PA100 heads. It's at the shop currently. Might be fun to reamp. I can tell you that I've reamped with a Super Trem and it had a really cool sound, but not sure if the PA100 might be a little different

Twisty,

Were you able to try out the PA100?

Nope, still sitting at the tech. It'll get done eventually. :-)

Twisty, are your home improvements complete? I'd like to hear your Superlead re-amped through the Master PA as well. I've been eagerly checking here daily to see if you have something posted.

Yeah, apologies - work has turned into a bandwidth hog. Hate to be that guy. annnnnd... i'm that guy. Here's how this ball will bounce: either I do it, or i ship it to Jnew and let him do it. whichever happens first.

 I’ll do it. Although Twisty is the better player. He could do it better justice but I’d love to get it my hands. I was going to build that circuit using one of my amps but if I can get the real deal to take for a lap or two first, I’ll hold off.

I just profile my Metro/Friedman at 90v and use my Kemper for jamming in my living room with an approximation of the VH1 tone. It kind of works.
