This clip could have fallen under several different categories, (budget brown sound,low volume brown sound, or pedal to achieve brown sound). Been listening to the iso tracks and there is just something about that first album that to me says germanium transistors, more than likely its on some of the outboard gear, and I've been around the board from the early days and have read through all of the secret pedal stuff. With that said im not trying to beat that dead horse! i just thought this clip has some very faint similarities to the first album tone.
Apologies for the inaccurate playing and technique , this was just an attempt to record what I was hearing through a 15 watt amp at low volume with a booster pedal, recorded with a cheap boss 8 track digital recorder with a Sm58 mic. Sorry for the huge file, but when I converted to mp3 it really turned to shit!! Not that anyone would notice! Download link below
