Me either! One of you guys has to record it and put it onto youtube. I might actually be on a road trip when it broadcasts

I am going to try and get in. I am currently on the wait list.
The museum is across the street from my office.

Yeah i can't wait to hear a cool story. Like how he started on drums and his brother Al was playing them while he was on his paper route.....

Maybe someone will ask him what his favorite tone is so he can say "the one i'm getting now from my.... (insert plug)" sigh.

All I want to know is what the white knob was on the back of his amp. And, if was a master volume, why did he use or not use it.

I think Ed's seminal innovations are in the quirky details which are not of interest to the mass audiences. I mean common, the Franky that is on display at The Smithsonian is a fake! Most guitar players don't have a clue what swing is, never mind the bulk of the VH fan base. Should be interesting though if Ed can step away from his usual song and dance, I think he will.

So, just by chance, if I do get in and get an opportunity for a question...what question should I ask?
1) What's the white knob on the back of 12301?
2) What did Franky look like recording VH1...Painted w/stripes? Rose or maple neck? Pickup (he will say PAF)?
3) Ever been on Metro amp? Are you "nitro"?

I guess you really can't ask him questions about gear because he is corporately tethered, but you could ask him about the old fun stuff like what ever happened to his car horn effect board or the WWII bomb rack. Or, would you ever work with Ted and Don again, you know, just hand over the reins to them in the studio and see what happens? You could slip in at the end that his #1 plexi tone is really missed!

I'd ask "Is that a banjo on that last chord of Unchained right at the very end". Seriously, I've often wondered that!

I think I would ask
There is a huge mass of the guitar community that wants to know how you got the tone you did through the first five records. Have you ever thought of demonstrating your entire original rig live via video? If not could you show us how you acheived it now?
Then.... he would not need to really even say much at all
