I've never seen pictures of the back of the B&W and Shark guitars before. I apologize if these pictures have been circulated here before.

Whoa, thanks for the heads up! Did you see that sick pic of Ed with the shark and the B/W strat on at the same time! Most of those pics have been out there, but not with that kind of resolution. The R/B/W franky pics are all replicas.

Just about all of the pictures in this book, especially the ones of the black and white Frankenstein, are already on the web. You can see many of them on this forum, most of which were shared by jimi. Try Google image search and you will see them.

I would recommend that any Van Halen guitar fan should buy this book...it is the latest edition as far as I know and it is expensive, but well worth it.

Not to be too argumentative, but the ones of the black and white Franky I have never seen before. The original shots that are all over the web have the guitar on a stand, this has it just against a wall and provides a good view of the head stock.

Really if you look at jimi's thread about the various stages of the Frankenstein you will see them. I know that they are on this site in various threads, but I'll scan them and send them to you nonetheless!

Because the file size is very limited on the forum and the full size and resolution that Roger would like is not going to show up if I post them here.

Scan them, send them to me and I will host the photos. I had just never seen pics that actually showed the 61071 number on the black and white version. The photos that are all over the interweb have the guitar on a stand...the ones in your book have it on the ground. Nearly identical shots but with a more straight on view of the head stock.
