How many cups of coffee did you drink before playing this? Lol...The tempo is a tad fast. Sounds really super... The swing makes it seems like it's played faster then it actually is.

Great tenacity there.
Coffee you say Star* ? I've been busted by rgorke with 3 cups of Starbucks in one video with shaking knee syndrome. 180 bpm
yeayea the feel can be tricky and confusing when you break it down with the timing thing. Most importantly; is that Ed always said he likes his music to boogie. So, going back to his Pop's era, let's take Glen Miller's-In The Mood at a high tempo bpm. That would be a great candidate for one to practice & play ITO intro over. Import, edit & Loop, selecting a key section with as many bars as you like, and then have at it !
Inspiration can come from anywhere and there are many, many ideas within when you apply yourself.
-Here I accidentally sped up VH's The Full Bug. I just kept it going
and johnny-on-the-spot improved right over it. Of course, with Van Halen's - I'm The One... This is from another thread where efraser bitches me out for a cut-off ending

Of course the really funny thing is that Ed said "I HATE to solo over boogies". But then so many of his best songs ARE boogies..."I'm The One", "The Full Bug", "Hot For Teacher", "Get Up", "Loss Of Control"...just another example of the contradictory nature of what Ed said in interviews.
