Searched for info on the Stormer guy and found the following. Guess I can only upload 3 pics at a time so will continue in the next post. Here's the Google Books link in case you want to get distracted from work like I was:

All those screen caps are referring to 1975 btw. Note the "wood grain" Destroyer, and apparently the Stormer dude learned from Ed. Stormer guy was referred to as being a Pagey bluesy guy at the time.

This is about supposedly the route Ed learned the two-handed tapping/hammers.

To me it doesn't really matter where he learned to do what -- ultimately his package of stuff is his. Just fun to read about.

Would love to have Greg poke his head around here and give any stories that came out of his book release in Pasadena. Ted Templemen, Terry Kilgore, Rudy Leiren, Mark Stone all in one room, how did they pull this off

I think the Stormer guy in question was Jimmy Bates, not Donny Simmons in regards to comparisons with Ed, Tracy G. just liked Donny's playing att. Not sure if Jimmy was even in the band...idk.
