It's not the secret pedal. Not even close
You wont get the VH1 tone out of that

The whole fun of it for me is using the period correct gear as gloriously inconvenient as that is, but this pedal might be a better all in one alternative to the new production 6-band EQ's, boosts and noise gates. Looks like it could be useful.

Mark A's ITO tone with the GG mod really did sound great. It was a pedal, and gave it that slight ratty feel that by itself on ISO tracks is not my fav, but love in the final mix.
I just hate the hiss of that old 6 band.

What's the fun if you can't smell your Echoplex working and rattling away?

I was trolling the internets last night looking for more info and soundclips for this pedal. The best I can tell is that this is essentially the blue and red channel preamp section of the 5153 amps in a stompbox format.

I think this is intended for players who cannot afford the amp heads. So this would be the next best thing. Much like the Bogner blue and red channel pedals.
Funny they call it an overdrive pedal. I'm sure it will be over the top fuzz machine.

I watched two YouTube demos of this pedal and to me, it sounds pretty awesome even though the demos were lame.
How come no one ever demos a pedal in front of a cranked marshall? It's always into a clean amp. (sigh)
I think a demo of this pedal with the right person & gear would make this pedal sound way better.

Try it. If it sounds like ass cranked, try removing the boost cap on v2a.

I do hope one of our members buys this pedal and gives it a review.
If I had some spare change in my pocket, I would buy this pedal and then send it into a Torpedo C.A.B. I have read nothing but good things about that pedal. It seems perfect with a quality dirt pedal in front.
Or, maybe Pete Thorn could do a video of this ?
